A cracking time awaits with new exhibition at Harris Museum

- by Ed Walker

The city's cultural crown jewel is ready to throw open its doors once again

Nick Park explores the Wallace & Gromit In A Case at the Museum Exhibition at The Harris in Preston.

Prestonians are being told to prepare for a Grand Day Out as the refurbished Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library throws open the doors from tomorrow.

Wallace and Gromit and other Nick Park creations are pride of place in the new exhibition nestled on the top floor of the grade-I listed building.

A painstaking restoration project is now complete and it is now just a matter of hours until the city can explore its cultural heart once more.

The Lancashire Post was able to get a first look inside ahead of Sunday to see what's been done with the place - and it is a world away from the ladders and scaffolding we last saw in May last year.
