Long and short of why men get their legs out in winter

Maybe even some thermal undies if it the central heating was on the blink.However, temperatures of -5C, plus ice and snow, didn’t stop some hardy specimens going out in their shorts.

I'm not talking about professional athletes, runners or postmen. Just otherwise ordinary blokes walking around in short trousers despite the fact that it’s January and the brass monkeys are wondering what happened to their crown jewels.

Some of these robust souls had even teamed their shorts with a pair of Crocs - worn, naturally, without socks.
