Harriers athletes maintain their race superiority

Seventy-seven Preston Harriers lined-up against athletes from Blackpool, Chorley, Lytham, Red Rose, Thornton Cleveleys and Wesham to compete in the fifth of this season's inter-club series.

The 4.5mile race held at Wesham saw the Harriers turned out in force with the aim of maintaining their first-place positions in both the men's and ladies' categories and they did not disappoint.

First home for Preston was Rob Danson, finishing second overall, with other Preston men packing well to take the top men's team spot.

Sam Evans was one place further back in third, while Chris Livesey and Patrick Brown were fifth and sixth respectively.
