Tony on song for farewell tour in summer sun as venue serves up another wondrous weekend

- by Julian Wilde

Hall's well that ends well for crooner who is still hitting right notes at 82

Lytham's stellar pageant of outdoor entertainment continued over the Bank Holiday, once again in delightful summer weather for which 2025 will long be remembered.

Lytham Hall presented well-attended early-evening concerts by Tony Christie on Saturday, followed by The Overtones and anthem specialist Emily Haig on Sunday, each expertly compered by the accomplished Graham Liver.

Tony Christie, now 82 and famed worldwide for 'Amarillo', recently announced the present nationwide tour will be his last and his Lancashire fans, particularly from the 70s and 80s, were out in force with Union Jacks to say farewell.
