'Grass verges are being destroyed by illegal parking'

A frustrated Preston city centre residents says he has seen grass verges destroyed on a road just yards from major car parks.

Andy McGarvey says he has spent two years asking for authorities to crackdown on problem parking along Lords Walk.

He says the patch of land, just a short walk from the Preston Bus Station car park and numerous private car parks, is being parked on illegally each day.

Mr McGarvey said: "I've reported it to the county council and to the city council. They both seem to say it is the other ones responsibility to do something about it.
