Find spectacular scenery in The Trossachs

It took us seven hours to reach Loch Goil from home in West Yorkshire.

After hours of motor-ways, over the Scottish border and through the heavily urbanised centre of Glasgow, the road finally started to narrow and the mighty hills of The Trossachs began to rise around us.

The final stretch was five miles of winding single track road with passing places before, finally, the glassy sea loch stretched out in front of us to the horizon.

And it was absolutely spectacular.
