We don't bounce the same as we get older! How many times have we heard that in recent years?

- Graham Archer

When it happens, it certainly does so in the most unexpected circumstances.

My wife, Christine, recently had the misfortune to fall and break her hip, while enjoying a 'treat' day out in Skipton.

She was promptly admitted to Airdale hospital, where a partial hip replacement was carried out the following morning.

This was prompt and efficient with further excellent care throughout. We have already expressed our appreciation to everyone involved in Yorkshire.

Being over an hour away from Chorley presented a whole lot of other problems, so we were very pleased when the day came for her to be transferred home.
