Group performs at New York Tartan Week
Songs for All, a community choir based in Galston with members from across Ayrshire, travelled to New York to take part in the annual Tartan Week.
Held annually since 1999, the event brings together organizations, pipe bands, choirs, Highland dancers and Scottish Americans to honour Scottish heritage.
A woman's choir, with only male accompanist, sang at Bryant Park before their friend Jai McDowell on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5.
Members also sang at the 9/11 Memorial and in a church on Broadway on Sunday, April 6.
All 29 members that attended the event found it “surreal” as they marched down the 6th Avenue at Tartan Week Parade to celebrate the historical and cultural ties between Scotland and the United States.
The Tartan Day Parade is the grand finale of Tartan Week in New York, which includes a full schedule of cultural events such as concerts, ceilidhs and exhibitions.
