UAE to benefit with re-exports amid US-China tariff row

The UAE could benefit from its strategic position as a global trading hub from tariff tension between the US and China through increased shipment, re-exports and more Chinese companies using the Gulf city as a transshipment hub to avoid new taxes in this trade war, say analysts and industry executives.
US President Donald Trump levied a 10 per cent tariff on Chinese goods earlier this month.
However, Trump paused imposing tariffs on small-value packages imported from China.
"Dubai's status as a global trade hub could position it to benefit from tariff tensions, particularly through increased transshipment, re-exports, and supply chain diversification.
