Land in Kashmir is more than real estate. It’s memory, legacy, and pride. That’s why it’s also a soft target.

For years, property scams have hollowed out trust. One piece of land has multiple buyers. Legal battles stretch for decades. Families abroad, especially Kashmiri NRIs, are the worst hit. They return home to settle matters, only to find strangers living on their land, paperwork missing, and brokers nowhere to be found.
