Srinagar Police Intensify Crackdown on JKNOP Associates

Srinagar Police have intensified a coordinated crackdown against individuals linked with the Jammu & Kashmir Nationals Operating from Pakistan (JKNOP), as part of efforts to maintain peace and prevent activities deemed harmful to national security.
According to police, raids were conducted across several parts of Srinagar and adjoining areas following credible intelligence inputs. During the searches, several persons suspected of being operatives or associates of the group were detained under preventive provisions of law, while incriminating documents and communication material described as promoting subversive ideology were seized.
Searches took place at the residences of Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar alias Latram, son of Ghulam Rasool of Nowhatta; Khurshid Ahmad Khan, son of Mohammad Sideeq Khan of Ganderpora Noorbagh; Bilal Ahmad Beigh, son of Mohammad Yousuf Beigh of HUDA Colony Allochibagh; Ghulam Hassan Khan, son of Late Mohammad Sadiq Khan of Ganderpora Eidgah; and Yawar Hayat Khan, son of Ghulam Hassan Khan of Ganderpora Eidgah.
