Labour Dept Holds Conference on ‘Sewa through Equality’

The Labour Department organised a one-day Conference-cum-Workshop on “Sewa through Equality: Promoting Women's Rights and Safety through Labour Reforms” at the Institute of Hotel Management, Rajbagh, marking a significant push toward gender equality and safer work environments across Jammu and Kashmir.

Labour Commissioner S. Charandeep Singh presided over the event as the Chief Guest, alongside Deputy Labour Commissioner (Central) Masarat Hashim and Deputy Labour Commissioner (Kashmir) Najwan Nazki.

The programme brought together a diverse mix of participants, including associate professors from reputed universities, factory owners, employers, trade union leaders, corporate representatives, media professionals and officials from the Labour Department.
