After Gaza’s Inferno

After more than two years of a devastating war that reduced much of Gaza to rubble and left tens of thousands buried beneath it, a fragile ceasefire has finally taken hold. Ironically, the deal—brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump—was struck with the very same Hamas that Israel and its chief patron, the United States, had vowed to annihilate.

In pursuit of this objective, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu waged a relentless campaign, defying international law and global outrage. His actions ultimately led to his indictment as a war criminal by the International Court of Justice. Yet, it was Trump who stood before the Israeli Knesset praising Israel’s war effort, admitting unabashedly that Washington had been deeply involved in sustaining Israel's military operations—both in Gaza and against Iran. “We’ve given a lot of our best weapons to Israel,” Trump declared, even joking that Netanyahu would frequently call him asking for arms he had “never heard of.”
