79th Independence Day: 3-tier Security In Place In J&K

Jammu and Kashmir is set to celebrate the 79th Independence Day under a three-tier security cover on Friday.
Officials said that the main official event in Kashmir will be held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, while M A Stadium will host the central function in Jammu.
Celebrations are scheduled at all district and block headquarters, government offices, and educational institutions, they said, adding that public representatives, Deputy Commissioners, and members of Panchayati Raj Institutions will hoist the national flag at various administrative levels, including sub-districts, tehsils, and panchayats.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the events, authorities have implemented heightened security across the Union Territory.
Asenior police officer said that both manpower and technology will be deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
