Tidal pool to close for five days

MARGATE 'S historic Walpole Bay Tidal Pool will close for five days at the end of April as Thanet District Council carries out essential maintenance and prepares for a series of improvements funded by the Margate Town Deal.

From Monday, April 28 to Friday, May 2, the pool will be drained to allow for routine maintenance, including repairs to the sluice gates and concrete steps and the replacement of escape ladders.
Public access to the pool will be restricted during this period and signs will be posted around the site to inform visitors.
