Old Wine Warehouse reborn as multi-use community asset

THE historic Old Wine Warehouse officially reopened its doors last Thursday (June 26), following a transformative restoration led by not-for-profit developer Heritage Lab Ramsgate.

The launch event was attended by Polly Billington MP as well as Kent County Council cabinet member for economic development Cllr Jamie Henderson, and Thanet District Council leader Cllr Rick Everitt, who gathered to celebrate a new chapter in the iconic building's story.

Originally constructed for Page & Sons - one of the UK's oldest privately-owned wine merchants, founded in 1804 - the building has been re-imagined as a vibrant multi-use space. It houses three distinct areas on its three floors:

Ground floor:

A versatile commercial unit, primed for a café or restaurant, with a welcoming outdoor seating area in Charlotte Court.

First floor:

The newly launched Ramsgate Works, a coworking studio offering flexible desk space, acoustic pods, fast WiFi, and a community-driven environment.
