Camilla's tribute to Claudia & Tess in duo's emotional final show | Lioness Karen Carney and pro dancer Carlos Gu win Glitterball trophy.
KAREN Carney and Carlos Gu claimed the Glitterball in last night's Strictly Come Dancing final - but the evening belonged to Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who hosted the BBC's flagship entertainment show for the very last time.
Tess has been on the show since its launch in 2004, hosting alongside TV legend Bruce Forsyth. Claudia joined the Strictly family the same year, presenting spin-off It Takes Two.
When Bruce died in 2017, Tess, 56, took his place and the pair made history as the first all-women presenting duo on prime-time TV.
In an emotional evening, the judges paid tribute. Craig Revel-Horwood said: "We all deeply and dearly love you and we are going to miss you like you won't believe." He later read out a tribute by the British queen, Camilla, who wrote: "Dear Tess and Claudia, as you prepare to take your final twirl, I wanted to say thank you on behalf of the millions who watch you each week.
