Peugeot's 5008 takes crown for best-selling SUV
Irish Sunday Mirror
|August 03, 2025
THE Peugeot 5008 has been announced as Ireland's bestselling large SUV.
With sales surging 38% year-on-year, the 5008 continues to resonate with Irish families seeking the perfect combination of space, safety, and style, now with the added benefit of an electrified powertrain.
Available in efficient hybrid and all-electric variants, the Peugeot 5008 is proving its appeal across a broad range of drivers.
In fact, in 2025, one in four 5008 buyers has chosen the electric version (making it the bestselling electric 7-seater model in Ireland), a clear sign of the growing appetite for zero-emissions motoring without compromising on space or versatility.
PRIORITY
The 5008's key features include a stylish interior, competitive pricing and generous boot capacity, with up to 916 litres with the third row folded down.
Safety is also a top priority for families, and the Peugeot 5008 delivers. In the latest Euro NCAP tests, the 5008 scored maximum points for child protection in both frontal offset and side barrier impact scenarios.
