AT the start of 2025 there were some huge questions swirling around sport in this country.

The biggest debate surrounded Gaelic football and the dramatic redrawing of the rules suggested by Jim Gavin's Football Review Committee.

The public doesn't always get what the public wants but there was a defeaning clamour to make the game more watchable.
