Water pipe repair work is a success

AN OPERATION to repair a section of a vital pipe supplying the drinking water to 1.7 million homes and businesses in the greater Dublin area was completed yesterday.

Uisce Eireann confirmed the operation was a success and the water is flowing through the pipe again after what was one of their largest ever repairs.
The State-owned company said that “water is restored” to all those in the region, which includes parts of Co Wicklow and Co Kildare.
