Kieran urges Magpies to front up fast after the latest Truff blow
NEWCASTLE defender Kieran Trippier has told his teammates they must take onboard the stinging criticism that came their way after this latest loss.
Trippier will leave the club next month, but was the only player to front up for media duties after another dire defeat for the Magpies and another late goal conceded. It does not get any easier for Newcastle, as they head to Arsenal next weekend - a venue where they have not won in the Premier League since 2010.
However, Trippier was keen to address their problems after Bournemouth left-back Adrien Truffert put a dent in the Toon's lingering hopes of European qualification with his late winner.
The reality is Newcastle are looking over their shoulder after William Osula cancelling out Marcus Tavernier's opener counted for nothing at St James' Park, prompting boos from home fans.
Trippier said: "I am not going to stand here and criticise my teammates, but it is us as players that need to take responsibility.
