Jan to stun favourite at Epsom

JAN BRUEGHEL (2.40, trb) looks a value alternative to the hot jolly Calandagan in the Betfred Coronation Cup at Epsom.
Last year's St Leger winner went through 2024 unbeaten and his four victories ended with his Classic success at Donny in September. He was beaten over a woefully inadequate 1m2f at the Curragh in April where he raced awkwardly and hung badly.
Jan Brueghel has never been straight-forward but he has a real engine, and although his future probably lies competing in Cup races, the 5-1 about him today appeals.
The latter is a worthy favourite but his 4-6 odds hold no appeal.
