Haaland says Pep & Co have set such a high bar that winning Cup will NOT make up for season

ERLING HAALAND says that winning the FA Cup will not make up for Manchester City's poor season because the standards they have set are so much higher.

Pep Guardiola’s side have endured a dismal campaign by their lofty standards, failing to challenge for the Premier League title and not even making the Champions League last 16.

Although City can win silverware by beating Crystal Palace at Wembley tomorrow, Haaland said it may not mean much to their long-serving stars, who are used to lifting bigger trophies.

Asked if winning the FA Cup would save City’s season, Haaland said: “For me, it would help. It’s important to win trophies and that's what I want. That's why I'm here. So it would help, definitely.
