Stab accused 'a serious risk to the public'

A MAN accused of a severe knife “slashing” attack “poses a serious risk to public safety", a court heard yesterday.

Adel Attal, 31, from Algeria but with an address at Henry Street, Mallow, Co Cork, was refused bail.

He was charged with assault causing harm to another Algerian at Rosie Hackett Bridge, Eden Quay, Dublin, and the production of a knife as a weapon on Monday afternoon.
