FRENCH STAR GETS 12-GAME BAN FOR BITE
FRANCE'S Axelle Berthoumieu has been hit with a 12-match ban for biting Ireland's Aoife Wafer.
An Independent Foul Play Review Committee found Berthoumieu guilty of the charge after analysing the incident, with TV replays appearing to show her biting the arm of Wafer on Sunday.
The incident happened early in the second-half, in a game where Ireland led 13-0 at half-time but ended up losing 18-13.
