Trent hails Anfield send-off as the best day of his life
TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD said his Liverpool finale was "the best day of his life" as he bid goodbye to his boyhood club as a two-time Premier League winner.
The 26-year-old admitted he had been unsure about the reaction he would receive on Liverpool's final day after being booed when coming on as a sub a fortnight ago.
Ex-manager Jurgen Klopp, who was in the crowd yesterday, was critical of fans for their reaction to the right-back's free transfer for Real Madrid.
But Alexander-Arnold's half-time introduction by boss Arne Slot (above) was met with cheers from the vast majority inside Anfield.
