THE hottest trends from Milan Fashion Week are in. But while Fendi's metallic fringing and Gucci's 'sprezzatura' runway looks are spotlight topics this week, the street styles sported by front-row regulars are stirring up just as much excitement.

SEVENTH HEAVEN

Showgoer fashion ranged from eccentric to understated — with feathered pirate hats bringing theatrical flair, denim enjoying a tailored revamp, cherry red running for first place as 2025's new It colour and more.

Here, Zalando rounds up seven on-the-ground trends that defined street style across the week...

CHERRY RED

Be it a full 70s-inspired trouser suit à la Jenna Ortega or head-to-toe cherry coded looks inspired by Rick Owens ready-to-wear SS24 show - this hot hue is putting the 'red' in red carpet. And Milan Fashion Week was no exception.

Street style experts were seen in monochromatic looks with heels to match and bright, breeze blocking red knits were styled with dark denim jeans. Or as expertly demonstrated, the trendy colour can be dialed down by instead opting for co-ordinated accessories over chunky neutral basics.

SPRING STRIPES

Offering endless versatility and instant impact, stripes were the print of the week. Think classic horizontal and vertical, ranging from thick to fine. This season, the timeless pattern is seeing brighter, clashing colours and candy stripes taking centre stage.
