'SCROOGE' SIMON HITS BACK

TANAISTE Simon Harris was accused of being “a Scrooge” in the Dail as the cost-of-living row raged on.

Sinn Fein TD Pearse Doherty accused Mr Harris of breaking election promises, such as reducing energy bills and abolishing student fees.

Instead, Mr Doherty said the newly elected Finance Minister has “hiked” students fees by €500 and withdrawn energy credits.
