Amorim knows that only positive results will bring the good vibes back to gloomy Old Trafford

RUBEN Amorim knows the only way he and his Manchester United players can change negative views of them is by winning games - starting tonight.

United must overcome Real Sociedad in the Europa League at Old Trafford to keep their campaign alive, as well as their hopes of European football next season.

With United down in 14th place in the Premier League and having exited both domestic cups, the Europa League is their last shot at glory this season, with the last 16 tie evenly poised at 1-1.

Against that backdrop, Amorim underlined the importance of winning tonight to keep United's season going and prove co-owner Jim Ratcliffe wrong.

Ratcliffe claimed some of United's squad are "overpaid and not good enough", with Amorim determined to change that harsh perception through results.
