RORY Mcliroy is set to return to action this week at the BMW Championship - the second event in the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs.
The Masters champion opted to skip last week's St Jude Championship in Memphis, which was won by Justin Rose.
The absence of the World No.2 from the first FedEx Cup playoff event led to some criticism, with Player director Peter Malnati saying he was “very concerned” at Mcllroy's decision and hinted that changes could be made for 2026 to ensure the top players feature in the playoffs.
