PEP GUARDIOLA has told Ederson he is Manchester City's No.1 - for now at least.

The Brazilian will start in goal in the big curtain-raiser at Wolves.

City are looking to bury the memory of last season's nightmare campaign by mounting a serious bid to wrestle the Premier League title back from Liverpool.

Ederson has been strongly linked with a move away this summer, with Turkish giants Galatasaray interested in the experienced 31-year-old.

City are also said to be tracking Paris Saint-Germain's Gianluigi Donnarumma (below) - who is set to quit the Parc des Princes - despite splashing out £27million to bring Under-21 keeper James Trafford back to the Etihad.
