PATRICK HAPPIER TO ANSWER CORK'S COLL' AS A KEEPER!

PATRICK COLLINS told Pat Ryan he'd prefer to save them than score them as he rebuffed his approach to take a penalty in Saturday's Munster final.

Collins was one of the Cork heroes as he saved Tom Morrissey's effort in the shootout and with Barry Murphy and Declan Hannon shooting wide for Limerick, Darragh Fitzgibbon's miss didn't matter in the end as Conor Lehane, Shane Kingston and Alan Connolly all scored.

But, given the obvious quality of his striking, Collins was afforded the option of taking one himself.

"Well, there was talks of it but I had enough of a job to be saving them, never mind taking them," he explained.
