Toon chief Al-Rumayyan refusing to sell star

NEWCASTLE chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has stepped to insist wantaway star Alexander Isak is not for sale at any price.

The Toon supremo, governor of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, has made it clear he does not want the club to cash in on their most prized asset despite strong interest from Liverpool.

Al-Rumayyan, who is also chairman of the LIV Golf tour, has intervened rarely in the day-to-day running of the club since the PIF took control in October 2021.

But, despite being an infrequent visitor to St James’ Park, he has pitched in to the Isak saga, making it known that the club have no intention of selling the Swede.

It leaves Newcastle's main power-broker on a collision course with Isak and his representatives, who are set on a move to Anfield.
