Nevin's advice to Everton's Garner

FORMER Everton star Pat Nevin believes James Garner should ignore interest from elsewhere as he moves towards a new Toffees deal.

TALENT Garner's performances have caught the eye for Everton this season

The midfielder is enjoying a stellar season at the heart of David Moyes' plans, the 24-year-old having become one of his boss' most trusted players after maintaining a high level throughout the campaign.

His form has led to speculation that clubs including Manchester United, the club whose academy he rose through, are now tracking his progress.

Much of that reporting was premature, however, with a departure always unlikely given Garner's contract situation.
