Gym work in the summer is paying off in spades for Reds out-half

JACK CROWLEY was a man on a mission in the summer - and it is paying off in how he has hit the ground running this season.
Crowley had a difficult time last term as he lost the Ireland No.10 jersey to Sam Prendergast, then missed out on Lions selection.
Perhaps the penny dropped that something had to change.
But if he was out of Andy Farrell's (inset) good books then, the 25-year-old must be returning to them now ahead of the November internationals.
That's on the back of the off-season work he has done followed by his start to the new URC campaign.
The word is that, having returned from Ireland's summer Tests in Georgia and Portugal, he spent his time off in the gym toiling before throwing himself into Munster's old school training regime under Clayton McMillan.

THIS NEWSREADER CAN GENERATE HIS OWN HEADLINES AT CHELMSFORD
NEWSREADER showed regressive form latterly for Kevin Philippart De Foy but a move to Edward Smyth-Osborne in August has seen him return to some of his better form, with the fitting of cheekpieces seemingly a catalyst for his revival in fortunes. His recent resurgence has come on turf, making the frame at both Windsor and Ffos Las, but both his wins have come on the all-weather and there's a strong chance that a return to an artificial surface is going to suit him even better.
