Bank Holiday thriller sees honours even at Dalyer as Bohs and Shels fire two apiece

MAY 4TH BE WITH YOU!

HARRY VAUGHAN drilled home an 89th minute equaliser to give Bohs a share of the spoils in a hotly disputed, fiery Dublin derby at Dalymount Park.

The diminutive winger showed great composure after receiving the ball on the edge of a crowded box. He took a touch to his right to get sight of goal before smashing a shot low into the left-hand corner of the net.

It was no more than the home side deserved and, indeed, they might just have taken more from the game as they spent the last five minutes attacking and earned two corners in the process.

The opening goal came in the 10th minute thanks to Bohs' clear belief in attacking in direct lines as evidenced on this occasion by Ross Tierney and Adam McDonnell.

Because if Shels' plan was to operate a rigid 5-3-2, the gaps to be exploited would be between those lines. Indeed, an earlier Markuss Strods' bee-line towards the goal with a late lay-off for Niall Morahan, resulted in Bohs registering the game's first shot on target.
