TAOISEACH Micheal Martin hopes “common sense will prevail” in the Greenland crisis.
Mr Martin will be at the Swiss resort before heading to an emergency EU summit in Brussels tomorrow.
The 27-nation bloc will discuss potential countermeasures against the US, such as imposing tariffs on €93billion of US goods, which would kick in on February 6 when Trump's levies would activate.
The other option that is expected to be discussed will be an extreme anti-coercion instrument that would exclude US firms from the single market.
