LUKE: LEGEND O'NEILL IS INSPIRING BHOYS SQUAD

LUKE McCOWAN says Celtic are being inspired by legendary leader Martin O'Neill.

But the Parkhead ace reckons the squad must blank out the ongoing managerial issue and ensure they get results.

McCowan has saluted the aura of O'Neill and insists the Celtic icon has poured belief and drive onto the troops.

The 73-year-old has had four games alongside Shaun Maloney since the departure of Brendan Rodgers and is now awaiting news from club chiefs on his future.

O'Neill doesn’t know at this stage whether or not he'll be asked to extend his spell in charge after this international break.

Fans are anxiously awaiting the club's next move, but, when asked, McCowan agreed the club is in good hands should the veteran remain for longer and added: “I mean, it's Martin O'Neill at the end of the day. He’s got that aura and brings that motivating factor of what it means to play for this club, as did the previous manager as well.
