All Black superstar Barrett proving to be an inspiration with Leinster

JORDIE BARRETT was so good, so brilliant on Friday against Glasgow.

So much so that if he were a north American sportsman, Leinster might have decided to retire his shirt number at the end of the season!

It is common practice there with the Boston Celtics having 24 retired numbers.

But rugby union does not retire shirts. It was fanciful talk around All Black Barrett but he was that good against Glasgow.

"Yes, definitely," said Leo Cullen when asked had Barrett exceeded expectation. "Even more great is the character part. I'm probably drawn to that even more. He's definitely brought that into the role."
