Jackpot winner plans holiday in sun

A LOTTO player has had a week to remember after scooping the €6,241,505 jackpot in last Wednesday's draw.

While sitting in the Winners Room at Lottery HQ, the prize winner admitted “it still feels like a dream”.

The Westmeath native added: “Would you believe that I can actually count on one hand the number of times that I have played Lotto this year. I wouldn't be a regular player and last Wednesday was my third time to play the game this year.

“I just picked up a ticket when I was out and about and sure look, here I am now.”
