ISRAEL sent negotiators to Qatar yesterday for indirect talks with Hamas on the latest proposal for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the meeting despite what he called the unacceptable changes the terror group wants to a plan presented by mediators from Qatar, the US and Egypt.

On Friday, Hamas claimed it had a positive response to the proposal for the 60-day ceasefire and was ready for negotiations.
