AN Irish guest staying at a UK hotel was left "distraught" after he alleged a rat "ran up his leg" and rodents the size of cats stopped him from going out at night.

His videos show the pests wandering amidst discarded rubbish just outside the entrance to the Ibis Budget in Birmingham city centre.

Gerard Coleman recorded the footage during his four-night stay at the hotel, which marked his first - and final - visit to Birmingham.
