Houghton: Sacking boss will not change Ireland's fortunes

FAI CHIEFS have been urged not to dump Heimir Hallgrímsson — regardless of the outcome of Ireland’s final two World Cup qualifiers.

Boys in Green legend Ray Houghton, who helped recruit Giovanni Trapattoni in 2008 as part of a three-man recruitment team with Don Givens and Don Howe, believes a change won't solve anything.
