Healy hails McConville's Garden job

WICKLOW stalwart Dean Healy has described manager Oisín McConville as a “breath of fresh air” since he came to the county.

McConville will lead the side into Sunday's novel Leinster Championship tie against Dublin in Aughrim, and while he enjoyed notable Championship victories over the Dubs as a player with Armagh in both 2002 and '03, the chances of him maintaining his 100 per cent record against them are remote in this instance, with Wicklow 200/1 outsiders.

The Crossmaglen man achieved promotion to Division Three in his first season in 2023, though they suffered immediate relegation last year and narrowly missed out on promotion to Limerick this year.
