TOMORROW'S All-Ireland ladies senior Championship football decider promises to be an absolutely absorbing confrontation between Dublin and Meath at Croke Park.

DUBS TO EDGE LADIES DAY

The Leinster rivals have already met in the provincial final back in May, with Dublin coming out on top by a four-point margin, 2-13 to 1-12.

Since then, the metropolitans have advanced through the Championship group stages, and comfortably dispatched of Cork, by 17 points, in the quarterfinals.

However, in the last four, Dublin could easily have come a cropper against a fired-up Galway, being pushed to extratime before edging over the line by three points.

Hannah Tyrrell, Carla Rowe and Kate Sullivan got the goals on that occasion, but significant improvement will be required to get the better of the Royals.

Meath have surprised a lot of people in their passage to the final.

Even after a comprehensive win over Tipperary in the quarterfinals, they weren't fancied to topple Kerry next time out.

The Kingdom were the defending champions, of course, but on the evening in Tullamore, they had no answer to a power-packed Meath display, eventually losing their crown by six points.

The inspirational Sarah Wall and Kerrie Cole raised the green flags for the Royals, with the indomitable pairing of Vicki Wall and Emma Duggan also well to the fore.

There will be so many top-class performers on show tomorrow, with Niamh Gallogly, Ciara Smyth, Marian Farrelly and Aoibhin Cleary other key operators for Meath.
