Lions victory the latest example of everything Russell touches turning to gold this season
As the British & Irish Lions sensationally and dramatically clinched the Test series here, Russell was among the honours once again.
Everything the Scotsman has touched this year has turned to gold as he has added the Tom Richards Cup, for beating the Wallabies, to Premiership and European Challenge Cup wins with Bath.
The fly-half is enjoying the most fruitful time of his career with his only previous major title being the Pro12 with Glasgow in 2015.
But this one is extra special after two false starts with the Lions.
One in 2017 when he was a part-time replacement as a member of the 'Geography Six' in New Zealand, the second came when he was injured on the Covid wrecked tour of South Africa and played only one Test.
