Court hears of threatening video made by masked far-right extremists

He is further accused of possession of four threaded pipe end caps and six litres of hydrogen peroxide at O'Moore Place, Portlaoise, Co Laois where he was pulled over by gardai on November 4.

Detective Gda O'Connor said he charged Mr Pollock at 12.43am yesterday morning, and the accused made no reply.

In relation to the alleged evidence the detective said that gardai stopped a vehicle at O'Moore Place in Co Laois and upon searching the vehicle discovered the explosive materials and “suspicious documents”.

He said the accused had documents which showed planning and knowledge of manufacturing explosive devices.

The Garda stated there was evidence of a “right-wing violent extremist group” planning a terrorist attack and that the accused had devices that were planned for use for said grouping.

He further stated that Mr Pollock made “admissions” while in garda interview to possession and handling of the explosive components and this was stated on video tape.
