Actor tells of drug battle as he opens up on childhood

ACTOR Barry Keoghan has revealed his struggles with drug addiction as he opened up about his childhood.

The Dubliner travelled home to Summerhill, accompanied by magazine Hollywood Authentic, and went to his grandmother's house in the inner city.

He told interviewer Greg Williams: "I remember being kids here and hearing my mum scream through the letterbox, asking for us, while she's battling addiction, while she's looking for money to score.

"And we were just told to stay in bed. We weren't to go down and hug her."
