End of world coming sooner than expected (but in years, still one with 78 zeroes to go)

THE end of the universe “is coming much sooner than expected”, surprised space boffins have warned.

Dutch scientists from Radboud University calculated when super strong white dwarf stars would become extinct to reach their gloomy conclusion.

However, there is no need to worry, the researchers said.

Lead author Heino Falcke said: “The final end of the universe is coming much sooner than expected but fortunately it still takes a very long time.”
