Accused shouted: This man ate my son

AN 88-YEAR-OLD hospital patient died of a cardiac arrest in his hospital bed following a "sustained and violent attack" during which he also suffered fractures, lacerations and bruising, a murder trial has heard.

Dylan Magee, 33, yesterday went on trial at the Central Criminal Court, sitting in Cork. He pleaded not guilty to the murder of Matthew Healy but guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.
